Anderson Outdoor Management

Quality Outdoor Advertising

About Us:

A small business' history, whether a success or failure, is often dismissed in a few short lines of facts and figures. There can be nothing further from the truth. Most small business entrepreneurs have a personal story of imagination, dedication, risk taking, hard work, and personal sacrifice.

Clyde Anderson began his labor of love with tooling and machinery at Spicer Industries, Inc. in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. He completed his apprenticeship program at an accelerated pace, and became foreman of the night shift.

By 1970 Clyde had become completely possessed by the desire to start his own business. Which he did indeed start with only $500, his personal tools, and the desire to succeed. Clyde began his business in Pompano Beach Florida. He was 26 years old and had to obtain work through selling himself and his capabilities to his potential customers. This was the beginning of Clyde's business in building tools and dies. With his wife Linda by his side they began a life long endeavor to build a strong solid business.

In 1982, Clyde moved his operation to Lake CitFlorida. He felt that he needed to be in a more centralized location in order to properly run his business. Pompano Beach facilities were closed with sadness, as the area had been good to Anderson Industries. Consequently Clyde was excited and delighted with his move to Lake City.

Due to changes in the market and the industry, Clyde began transitioning into the Outdoor Advertising business. The two structures on his property on I-75, the property where his manufacturing plant was located, were the two original structures that Clyde built. The same way that Clyde built up his manufacturing business, job by job, with attention to detail, emphasis on quality service, and hard work Clyde was able to build Anderson Outdoor into the company that it is today.

Anderson Outdoor strives to move forward with the same principles as a second generation business. Devon Anderson, Clyde and Linda's grandson, is doing a remarkable job following by example. Our company will continue to seek out new sites and place strong, durable, lasting structures in locations that have the potential for strong financial return.
